SpinUps at the Adobe MAX conference in Los Angeles, California. SpinUps are
free add-ons to the FreeSpin3D Extension for Adobe Flash CS4 Professional that
expand FreeSpin3D's core functionality and simplify the process of creating 3D
projects for web delivery via Adobe Flash Player 10.


SpinUps are Flash SWC files that act as the building blocks for 3D
applications by presenting the user with an easy and intuitive interface,
while supplying all of the advanced ActionScript 3.0 code behind the scenes.
SpinUps are imported into Flash CS4 projects using the SpinUp Importer, which
is installed in seconds using the Adobe Extension Manager for CS4.

FreeSpin3D SpinUps Features and Benefits
The SpinUp Program is launched today with four new SpinUps for FreeSpin3D and

-- Interactive Texture SpinUp - Adds interactivity capabilities to a 3D

-- Attach Display Object SpinUp - Enables Display Objects, such as
MovieClips, to be attached to a FreeSpin3D model and act as a single
entity. The SpinUp handles all of the relational rotation and sorting
of
the Display Objects attached to the group. Positioning the Display
Objects is accomplished on the Flash CS4 stage.

-- Rotation Tween SpinUp - Provides an easy method to rotate a FreeSpin3D
model from a current rotation angle to a defined one.

Autodesk kills ImageModeler as standalone product

Bad news for ImageModeler2009 users. Have found the article in the i-net. Digital Arts review:

Autodesk has announced that it will stop selling full and upgrade versions of its ImageModeler 2009 software on November 2. The software, which was previously owned and developed by RealViz, creates 3D models from 2D stills.
ImageModeler 2009 is currently available bundled with 3ds Max 2010, 3ds Max Design 2010, and Maya® 2010 when purchased with a Subscription maintainance package. From Nov 2, this will be the only way to obtain the software.
Autodesk says that "this decision has been made to refine and simplify our product range, while at the same time providing our customers with an improved and more complete workflow solution."
The company says that there are fewer than 100 current owners of ImageModeler 2009.
Autodesk bought RealViz in August 2008, at which point it killed some of the company's products and kept others. Currently only the Stitcher Unlimited 2009 panorama-stitching software is available for purchase, with the MatchMover motion tracking software currently bundled with Maya 2010.

3DImage - is an interactive sequence of plain photos. Illusion of rotating object is created for an observer. Like an interactive cartoon. To make sequence, a photographer should shoot an object rotated in front of the tripod-mounted camera.


3DPanorama - is a warped plain photo (panorama image) which is mapped to a sphere/cylinder. Observer is placed inside this sphere/cylinder. Panorama image is stitched out of one row of photos created by a camera equipped with a wide angle lens or a fish-eye lens. For making sequence, a photographer should rotate the tripod-mounted camera horizontally, around tripod axis.

At present all the Anything3D soft produces pseudo-3D only.
